New Garden Takes Root; Kitchen Expected to Open Spring 2021

The “Garden” in Community Garden Kitchen is taking root. As CGK is nearing the finish line with construction of the new kitchen, this other important piece of their nonprofit, is beginning to grow. Community Garden Kitchen Board breaks ground. December 6, 2019 made history for our organization as we broke ground for our kitchen with more than 200 people in attendance. We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated and supported Community Garden Kitchen! Food for sack lunches was donated by Market Street grocery store & donated to Samaritan Inn. We recognized two generous donations at the groundbreaking: Raj and Lori Bhargava, along with Manner Polymers staff, presented a $100,000 gift to the kitchen.
