Not knowing when you will have your next meal is an experience faced at least once a year by over 48,000 children in Collin County.
Your donation will provide food for children, the working poor, veterans, senior citizens and the homeless.
Thousands of children in Collin County are on the free and reduced breakfast and lunch program. Let’s make sure they have something to eat for dinner so they don’t go to bed hungry.
Poor nutrition during early childhood increases the chance of anemia, limits memory development and can affect a child’s ability to learn.

Food insecurity can be reduced with community support.
Many people struggle to provide good food to their families. Job layoffs, illness, low-paying jobs, lack of transportation and affordable living are some situations that can cause people to find themselves food insecure. The Community Garden Kitchen will serve freshly prepared meals to anyone in need, no question asked, no paperwork required. A community issue requires a community solution. Your support through donations and volunteering will make a tremendous difference to so many people, and perhaps change their lives for the better.
